Prince Harry and Meghan Markle"s interior decorator revealed: Report - HELLO! Canada

Prince Harry and Meghan may be on the brink of becoming first-time parents, with the mom-to-be telling young fans in Birkenhead on Monday (Jan. 14) that she"s due at the end of April, but that doesn"t mean they"ll lose their cool. As the duo prepares to move into their first family home, Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate, they"re reportedly looking to a luxe members-only club for cutting-edge decor inspiration.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have hired Soho House"s interior designer, Vicky Charles, to give the historic property a "cutting-edge cool" vibe, according to The Sun. "Meghan loves Soho House," said a friend of the former actress, who spent plenty of time at the club"s Toronto location. “Her best friend Markus Anderson, who works for the group, helped introduce her to Harry and organized their early dates at its London-based venues and Soho Farmhouse.”
Accordingly, their grade-II property is likely to get a revamp inspired by the 1920s and 1930s. It"s a modern take on a very regal look - think luxurious velvet couches, tufted armchairs, sleek fireplaces, ornate chandeliers and a palette that includes mossy greens and rosy pinks.
"Private homes are incredibly different," Vicky said of her design process on the website for Soho Home, the club"s homeware collection, where the Sussexes reportedly registered. "The clients come to us because they want the Soho House aesthetic but you have to make it right for that family or whoever lives there in their space, so it’s not a cookie cutter thing you can just drop in." She added, "Someone’s home is so much more personal. There’s the obvious stuff of not worrying about mini bars, but there"s also a different level of comfort – it’s fascinating."
It"s no surprise that Vicky has also worked with the royal couple"s friends, George and Amal Clooney, as well as the Beckham family. And the London club and farmhouse location hold so much sentimental value for Prince Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, who first fell in love on a series of secret Soho House dates. The couple"s Cotswolds country home is also on the same 400-acre estate as the Soho Farmhouse, which was reportedly the locale of the royal mom-to-be"s bachelorette party.
The couple announced their plans to move to Windsor last November. According to the Daily Mail, Harry had a very important reason for parting ways with his older brother and forging his own path outside of London: "Not to appease his wife, but because he wants to escape the goldfish bowl of royal life for the sake of his marriage and his unborn child." According to sources, the couple had a number of properties to choose from and, considering the exorbitant cost of renovations on the Kensington Palace space, they opted for Frogmore.

"The other reason is that Harry simply doesn"t want to bring his family up in such a visible manner as his brother," royal correspondent Rebecca English explained. "And although the Cambridges do have a charming garden in which their three children can play, spaces for youngsters to run wild are severely limited." Vicky is sure to create the perfect outdoor space for Baby Sussex - possibly with views of Frogmore House, where his or her parents partied after saying "I do"!
