Royal PET PEEVES: One word the Queen HATES - and it"s about Meghan Markle - Express

Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne for 66 years, so it is not surpising she reportedly has an evergrowing list of pet peeves. Her biggest annoyance is said to be vulgarity, including memebers of the Royal Family saying certain words. One of the words the monarch finds vulgar is "pregnant", according to Us Weekly magazine. Meghan Markle is expecting her first child with Prince Harry in Spring next year, but the Queen may use the term "in a family way" instead of saying The Duchess of Sussex is pregnant.

The Queen was also said to find the most famous Beatle John Lennon "vulgar" too, after meeting him at a Royal Variety Show.

She was "delighted and relieved" when the singer returned his Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1969, the Independant reported.

Displaying too much emotion is also frowned upon, especially loud sobbing.

Princess Diana got off to a bad start after weeping when one of the Queen"s corgis caught a mole duing a mole hunt.

A busy schedule means the Queen also likes to listen to sermons that last no longer than 12 minutes.

The 92-year-old also expects people to dress smartly and particularly hates tacky bow ties.

She has attended hundreds of formal events over the years, where complimentary drinks are offered to guests and toasts are made to the longest-reigning British monarch.

But the Queen hates the sound of clinking ice cubes, so drinks beverages with sphere-shaped ice cubes in the hope they will make less noise.

If you"re ever invited to dine with the Queen, the menu may be limited.

She is not a fan of starchy foods such as potatoes and "just doesn"t care" for any sort of soup, Us Weekly added.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte won’t be sitting at the dinner table with their great-grandmother anytime soon either.

They will have to learn proper table manners before they are invited to tea.
