Kate Middleton Catches Prince William Laughing in Westminster Abbey

The royal family is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force today, and although the festivities are formal and grand, there was wiggle room to sneak a few giggles—at least according to Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The couple appeared at Westminster Abbey this morning, along with other royals, to kick off the day"s celebrations. But while sitting in the cathedral, the Duke of Cambridge was seen holding in a laugh in the middle of the ceremony.

It"s unclear what Prince William was giggling at exactly, but before he could break out into full laughter, Middleton turned around and caught him. From clips of the event, it seems he eventually explained to her what he found so funny. It looks like Middleton broke into a smile, too.

Considering they usually refrain from PDA at their royal events (unlike Prince Harry and Meghan Markle), the sweet, candid moment comes as a pleasant surprise from the couple.

Giggles aside, the pair made a lovely appearance at the Royal Air Force celebrations, with Prince William dressed in uniform and Middleton in an Alexander McQueen coat dress. Markle and Prince Harry were in tow, too.

The Duke and Duchess just celebrated the christening of their youngest child, Prince Louis, at St. James" Palace yesterday, which saw family members like Pippa and James Middleton, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Prince Charles. The occasion marked the Cambridge duo"s first time photographed with all three of their kids, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

One of the last times we saw Prince William in Westminster Abbey, he appeared to have trouble staying awake during the Anzac Services in late April. It was two days after he and Kate welcomed baby Louis, and though the Duchess stayed home, the Duke attended the service looking a bit sleep deprived.

If only Kate was around to catch him then.
